The performance and reliability of these passive components have a considerable impact on the overall link loss and reliability of the system.
MinoTech Engineering consultants have been innovative leaders in the development, optimization and automated manufacture of fused biconic couplers. Our successes have included:
- Development and Implementation: of low cost automated manufacture of fused biconic taper (FBT) couplers and WDM’s for deployment in Passive Optical Networks.
- Resolution of Manufacturing Issues: including fiber stripping, fusion heat treatment, assembly, epoxy bonding, packaging and process optimization including Telcordia GR-1209 and GR1221.
Our engineers and scientists have experience designing connectors, terminations, cable assemblies and many different sensor types, including evanescent wave and micro-bending devices. Our areas of interest include:
